Fort Lauderdale sits between Palm Beach County and Miami-Dade with a professional class of its own . downtown legal and finance workers, a large marine industry, and a growing tech sector along the Andrews corridor. Who I see here

Therapy for
Fort Lauderdale residents

Broward sits in the middle of Florida's east coast: I-95, the Turnpike, and Federal all run through it, and none of them make a weekly commute to an in-person therapist easy. Video takes the drive off the table. Sessions run 60 minutes on HIPAA-compliant video. Weston, Coral Springs, Plantation, Fort Lauderdale, Pompano, Hollywood . same practice, whichever exit you take home.

How telehealth works from Fort Lauderdale

Secure video,
from your space

For Fort Lauderdale residents, telehealth solves the two things in-person therapy does not: mid-week traffic and the way many Broward schedules run late. A 6pm slot on video is workable in a way it never quite is when you would have to drive there. Evening availability is one of the reasons Broward-area residents often start with telehealth and stay with it. What to expect in the first session →

About the area

A note on
Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale used to be described as the quiet middle child between Miami and Palm Beach. That is no longer true . Broward has grown into its own downtown, its own arts scene, its own working economy. The pressures of that growth are worth naming in session alongside anything more universal about mental health.

Popular Fort Lauderdale neighborhoods and zip codes: Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Coral Ridge, Victoria Park, Rio Vista, Wilton Manors, and out to Weston, Coral Springs, Plantation, Pompano Beach, Hollywood. Common zips: 33301, 33305, 33308, 33316, 33334, 33326, 33065, 33324.

Not on the list? Sessions are Florida-wide via secure video, so any address in the state works.

A note on fit

Fit matters more
than convenience

Broward County has a wide network of behavioral health providers, including large systems like Broward Health and Memorial Healthcare. This practice is one option among many. Fit matters more than convenience. If I'm not the right therapist, I'll say so.

Common questions

Frequently asked
about Fort Lauderdale

How does telehealth therapy work from Fort Lauderdale?

Sessions are 60 minutes on a HIPAA-compliant video platform. You join from anywhere in Broward County using a browser link. No downloads, no installs, works on phone, tablet, or laptop.

Do you accept insurance for clients in Fort Lauderdale and Broward County?

I am in-network with Aetna, Ascension SmartHealth, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, and Florida Blue. For other plans, I provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. Sliding scale for self-pay.

Are evening sessions available for Broward County commuters?

Yes. Late-afternoon and evening slots exist specifically for clients coming off downtown Fort Lauderdale, Cypress Creek, or Weston workdays. Sessions can hold a consistent weekly time, or shift with your schedule.

Do you work with Fort Lauderdale downtown legal, finance, and marine industry professionals?

Yes. Broward County has a strong professional class in each of those verticals, where anxiety and burnout patterns are common. CBT-based work translates well across those sectors, and clients from any of them are welcome.

How do I book a first session?

Book a free 15-minute consultation through the booking page. It runs on secure video, no forms and no commitment for the intro call. If we are a fit after that, we schedule the first full 60-minute session and I send you the paperwork through SimplePractice.

Is telehealth therapy as effective as in-person?

Yes, for most people. A large body of research shows that video-based therapy produces outcomes comparable to in-person for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and grief work. As an LMHC I do not prescribe medication, so if a session ever surfaces something that would need medication support, I coordinate a referral to a psychiatrist or PCP.
