Serving Florida · Statewide telehealth

Telehealth Therapist
in Miami

Miami residents have plenty of local therapy options. For those who prefer secure video sessions from home, this Florida-statewide telehealth practice may be a fit. I'm June Pittman, MS, LMHC, based in West Palm Beach and licensed to serve English-speaking clients anywhere in Florida.

Who I see here

Therapy for
Miami residents

Miami traffic and long workdays can make in-person therapy feel like one more errand on the list. Telehealth removes that friction. Coral Gables, Aventura, Kendall, Little Havana, Doral, the Grove . sessions happen from your own space, using a HIPAA-compliant video platform. Sessions are 60 minutes.

How telehealth works from Miami

Secure video,
from your space

For Miami-Dade residents, the biggest practical difference telehealth makes is the drive it removes. A weekly session that would otherwise mean 45 minutes on the Palmetto or the 826 becomes a 60-minute conversation from your kitchen or a parked car between appointments. Evening slots are available for households where a normal weekday hour is not realistic. What to expect in the first session →

What Miami clients ask about

Common reasons
people reach out

Common reasons Miami-Dade residents reach out include:

Anxiety and stress tied to cost of living and city pace

Immigration-related transitions, family separation, cultural grief

Hurricane-season anxiety, preparation fatigue, post-event recovery

Grief compounded by loss of family in and out of the country

Work-life balance for dual-income and multi-generational households

Trauma processing using CBT and Cognitive Processing Therapy

About the area

A note on
Miami

Miami-Dade is culturally and linguistically layered in a way that few American cities are. That texture . family systems that span countries, faith traditions that carry real weight, community networks that both hold you and require energy . can be a strength in therapy and also part of what is being untangled. Good therapy pays attention to how that context shapes what a person is carrying, not around it.

Popular Miami neighborhoods and zip codes: Coral Gables, Brickell, Aventura, Kendall, Little Havana, Doral, Coconut Grove, Wynwood, Edgewater, and greater Miami-Dade. Common zips: 33131, 33132, 33134, 33137, 33139, 33143, 33144, 33146, 33176, 33180, 33186.

Not on the list? Sessions are Florida-wide via secure video, so any address in the state works.

Urgent Help

A note on fit

Fit matters more
than convenience

A note on language and cultural fit: sessions are conducted in English. Miami has excellent Spanish-language and bilingual therapists locally, and if a Spanish-speaking or bilingual clinician would be a better match, I will help you find one. Fit matters more than proximity.

Common questions

Frequently asked
about Miami

How does telehealth therapy work if I live in Miami?

60-minute sessions on a HIPAA-compliant video platform. You join from anywhere in Miami-Dade, home, a private office, or a parked car between commitments. Browser link, no installs, works across devices.

Do you provide therapy in Spanish?

No. Sessions are conducted in English. Miami has an excellent network of Spanish-language and bilingual therapists. If a Spanish-speaking clinician would be a better fit, I am happy to help point you toward one.

Do you accept insurance for Miami-Dade clients?

Yes, I am in-network with Aetna, Ascension SmartHealth, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, and Florida Blue. Superbill provided for out-of-network reimbursement. Sliding scale available for self-pay.

Are evening sessions available given Miami traffic?

Yes. Evening availability is standard, which is one of the practical advantages telehealth offers Miami-Dade clients over an office visit. A 6pm slot on video is workable when the same commute to an office would not be.

How do I book a first session?

Book a free 15-minute consultation through the booking page. It runs on secure video, no forms and no commitment for the intro call. If we are a fit after that, we schedule the first full 60-minute session and I send you the paperwork through SimplePractice.

Is telehealth therapy as effective as in-person?

Yes, for most people. A large body of research shows that video-based therapy produces outcomes comparable to in-person for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and grief work. As an LMHC I do not prescribe medication, so if a session ever surfaces something that would need medication support, I coordinate a referral to a psychiatrist or PCP.

Ready to talk?
Start with a free consult.

15 minutes on secure video, no forms and no commitment. The consult is usually enough to answer the practical questions about scheduling, insurance, and whether the fit feels right.
