For Pensacola-area residents, telehealth solves several logistics at once: PCS moves, deployment cycles, and the reality that many military-connected households already live across time zones and duty stations. Sessions are 60 minutes on HIPAA-compliant video. Downtown Pensacola, East Hill, Perdido, Cordova, Milton, Pace, Gulf Breeze . one practice, wherever the current address is.
How telehealth works from Pensacola
Secure video,
from your space
For Pensacola residents, telehealth is often the more private option. Sessions happen inside your own space, on your own device, without a shared waiting room. That matters for active-duty personnel weighing whether to start care, and for veterans whose relationship with clinical settings is already complicated. HIPAA-compliant video, 60-minute sessions. About the area
A note on
Pensacola
Northwest Florida runs at a different pace than the peninsula. The Panhandle has its own history, its own economies (defense, forestry, hospitality along Perdido and the Gulf), and a strong sense of local identity. People from this region often describe a version of Florida that peninsula residents do not always recognize. That is worth naming in session.
Popular Pensacola neighborhoods and zip codes: Downtown Pensacola, East Hill, Cordova Park, Perdido Key, Pace, Milton, Gulf Breeze, Navarre, NAS Pensacola area, and greater Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. Common zips: 32501, 32502, 32503, 32504, 32506, 32507, 32526, 32561, 32571, 32583.

Urgent HelpA note on fit
Fit matters more
than convenience
For active-duty service members, care through NAS Pensacola and the Pensacola VA clinic remains an important primary option. This practice can complement that care rather than replace it. Seeing a private practice clinician alongside VA or command-directed care is a common route, especially during periods when those options are constrained by schedule or waitlist.
Common questions
Frequently asked
about Pensacola
How does telehealth work for Pensacola and the Panhandle?
60-minute sessions on a HIPAA-compliant video platform, from any Panhandle address. Browser-based, no installs, works across phone, tablet, and computer.
Do you work with active-duty personnel and veterans from NAS Pensacola?
Yes. I'm trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy for combat and service-related trauma, reintegration support, and stress for spouses and families of active-duty personnel. I hold Military Cultural Competence Tier 1 certification, and Panhandle military-connected clients are welcome.
Do you accept insurance for Escambia and Santa Rosa County clients?
Yes, I am in-network with Aetna, Ascension SmartHealth, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, and Florida Blue. TRICARE credentialing is being updated for the new practice location; a superbill supports reimbursement in the meantime.
Can I see you around a PCS move or deployment cycle?
Yes. Telehealth is well-suited to service members and families whose year is shaped by deployment cycles and permanent-change-of-station moves. Sessions can travel with you across time zones and duty stations as long as you remain a Florida resident during the course of care.
How do I book a first session?
Book a free 15-minute consultation through the booking page. It runs on secure video, no forms and no commitment for the intro call. If we are a fit after that, we schedule the first full 60-minute session and I send you the paperwork through SimplePractice.
Is telehealth therapy as effective as in-person?
Yes, for most people. A large body of research shows that video-based therapy produces outcomes comparable to in-person for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and grief work. As an LMHC I do not prescribe medication, so if a session ever surfaces something that would need medication support, I coordinate a referral to a psychiatrist or PCP.
